Alexa Lopezlira

Alexa Lopezlira is a Senior Biologist at the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), specializing in roadside resources and vegetation management. Alexa holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of Portland and is currently completing a Master’s degree in Environmental Law at the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law. Her professional experience includes over 6 years in environmental compliance surveys and the implementation of statewide conservation policies for ADOT. Alexa is proud to serve on the SWVMA board as Vice President and has been actively involved with SWVMA since 2023. As a native Arizonan, Alexa is a fierce advocate for preservation of the unique desert landscape she and millions of others call home.
